The2FunAdGuyz offer a large (11” X 17”) new sports print of a remarkable and historic baseball publicity photo capturing the legendary Babe Ruth, “The Bambino,” in 1920, shortly after the New York Yankees purchased his talents from the Boston Red Sox.

The original sports photograph, on which this print is based, was autographed “Very Truly Yours, ‘Babe’ Ruth’ in white ink prior to its submission to U. S. Copyright Office and that autograph is clearly visible on the photograph. This photograph would make a great father’s day gift or for any special occasion honoring a baseball fan.

HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE: Oceans of beer have been consumed arguing about “The Babe’s” exact role in the history of baseball. However, to a world just a few years away from the horrors of World War I, Ruth was very special and is deservedly ranked among the greatest players in the history of baseball! He captured the imagination of the world then, and still does today.

DESCRIPTION: In the photo a slender and somber Babe—wearing the fabled pin stripes of the New York Yankees for the first season—looks fit and ready to embark on the 1920 season that would see the first of several records breaking seasons with the Yankees. All of the troubles are in the future, but at this moment “The Bambino” looks ready for whatever is coming. This is an incredible photo, especially when enlarged to this size. It will make a great companion to the other Babe Ruth photos we have in our store.
