Ladies & Gentleman, boys and girls of all ages, up for auction is a print of a piece of circus Americana. It is an 1896 poster for the Adams, Forepaugh & Sells Brothers Circus. The headline states: Adams, Forepaugh & Sells Bros Enormous Shows Combined. It shows several standing on the backs of galloping horses. Below the poster are three ribbon captions. The first caption reads: Leap year ladies of laughter--"Variable as the shade by the light quivering aspen made." The next ribbon continues: “See the new woman in a novel sphere, introducing the three great equestriennes of the day.” The far right ribbon caption continues: “The only clown women who wear the comic crown.” It will be perfect when framed and used in a child’s room or as a welcome addition to a collection of circus memorabilia.
