The2FunAdGuyz offer a new print of a magnificent, color, 1908 college sports rowing crew poster by popular artist Edward Penfield. In the late 1800s and early 1900s College and University Sports Rowing had a huge following.



Ten men wearing their school’s crew uniforms and each holding an oar represent their schools. Yale, Harvard, Princeton, United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia, Wisconsin, Georgetown and Syracuse are the ten teams represented.

ARTIST: Edward Penfield loomed large on the artistic landscape as the nineteenth century became the twentieth century. For years, Harper’s Weekly was his artistic home and his illustrations graced countless covers. His work commands top dollar in the current art world. His whimsical style is easily recognized. He once said We are a bit tired of the very serious nowadays, and a little frivolity is refreshing, and yet frivolity to be successful must be thoroughly studied. The Penfield pictograph, among the most recognizable in the world, can be seen on the lower right.
