Happy Mothers Day Gift Mary Cassatt Art Print Home Wall Decor Mom Child Nursery Poster

Product Description
The2FunAdGuyz offer a new print of a remarkable 1891 Mary Cassatt print titled: “In The Omnibus”.
Cassatt created a fascinating study of two women riding on an omnibus. This intriguing scene captures a view of the world of women in the late nineteenth century, making it an ideal gift for a mother—either on Mother’s Day, her birthday or any other special occasion. The style and coloring would also lend itself to decorating a nursery, girl’s room or any room that needs a feminine touch. Done after absorbing the influence of Impressionism and then moving on, the American born Cassatt has created a host of possibilities about the relationship of the three figures. Which woman is the mother—the one who looks at the child or the one who stares at something unseen in the distance? A mother and her nanny, or sister, or…? The possibilities are many and all are intriguing. However, what is not in doubt is that this is a departure from the sentimental view of earlier depictions of women in art. These are real women in a real situation—something to which every woman can relate. Cassatt signed the original print on the lower left.
CAPTION: “In The Omnibus, Mary Cassatt, 1891”. You should note that the caption is positioned so that it can be covered by matting is you so desire.
ORIGINAL MEDIA: A drypoint, aqautine, hand colored print was the original media on which this new print was based. You should note that the are two lines on the very right and left sides of the print that have been left as they appear in the original but, again, can be covered by matting if you so desire.
ARTIST: Mary Cassatt was born in Allegheny City, Pennsylvania in 1844. Hardly the birthplace one would expect for a woman who was to be an important figure in the French Impressionist movement—as both an artist and promoter of the style. Her affluent family allowed her to study at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. They objected when she wanted to study abroad, but she prevailed. Eventually, she arrived in France where the French Impressionist painter Degas, among others, had a large influence—but eventually developed her own style. Her subjects during this mature period were frequently mothers and their children. The print offered is from this mature period. The cause of women’s suffrage captured her attention before her death in France on June 26, 1926. By the twenty first century, her paintings fetched upwards of two-million dollars.
PAPER QUALITY: This new print is on a highest quality, acid-free, 100-pound glossy premium text paper that allows for maximum color brilliance and fidelity for older images.
